The G-NET Industrial Computer is a rugged all in one panel PC that is also suitable for industrial computing environments such as factory floor use, warehousing, automation and other industrial computer environments.
The G-NET Industrial Vehicle Mounted Computer is a Windows XP Pro industrial vehicle computing platform designed specifically for mounting in a car, truck or industrial environment. The G-NET Industrial Vehicle Mounted Computer features a low power fanless Intel Celeron 1.2ghz CPU, 1gb of RAM and a 40gb mobile hard drive (a solid state flash drive is also available).
The G-NET Industrial Vehicle Mounted Computer features a rugged IP65 compliant dust and waterproof enclosure, and meets all MIL810F anti-shock and anti-vibration specifications. Additionally, the G-NET Industrial Vehicle Mounted Computer features various expansion ports such as an RS-232 serial port, USB ports and Mini PCI slot that can accommodate a variety of wireless modems and third party peripherals. The system also includes and integrated DC power supply with 8-36V input designed specifically for 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems.
The G-NET Industrial Vehicle Mounted Computer is contained within a rugged all aluminum powder coated enclosure to ensure the ultimate in rigidity, reliability and a truly rugged design. The G-NET Industrial Vehicle Mounted Computer in standard form is rated from -10-60C (14-140F) making it an ideal solution for nearly any vehicular or industrial environment.
The G-NET Industrial Vehicle Mounted Computer is capable of running any Windows XP compatible application including office suite software, communication applications, dispatch software and more. In addition, the system is capable of utilizing any third party peripherals and related hardware that are compatible with Windows XP, including but not limited to wireless radio modems, swipe card readers, biometric scanners, external storage devices and video cameras.
The advantages of an in-vehicle computer running a full featured operating system like Windows XP, make it a clear and viable alternative to the limited systems running embedded flavors of Linux as well as Windows CE. The system features VESA 75mm mounting holes on its enclosure allowing it to be mounted on any VESA standard mount, an optional mounting bracket, the GNET_IVMCMOUNT, is also available.
For extremely rough applications, the G-NET Industrial Vehicle Mounted Computer is available with a solid state 8gb flash drive option , to guarantee the ultimate in shock tolerance and durability.
