The G-NET Car PC is a highly integrated, state-of-the-art embedded Windows XP™ based car computing platform designed for mounting in a vehicle. The G-NET Car PC is a full blown in vehicle computer that operates much like a regular home or office PC, except it is specially designed to work in a car environment. Carputer technology like the G-NET Car PC allows you not only to run any Windows XP™ compatible applications in your car but also allows you to play all digital audio and video formats such as MP3, MPG, AVI, DivX and more. In addition, the G-NET Car PC has support for DVD video playback, GPS navigation, wireless internet and e-mail as well as real-time OBD2 vehicle diagnostics. The possibilities of having a full blown Windows XP based PC computer in a car are limitless!
The G-NET Car PC is compatible with any car or truck! Simply mount the system in the vehicle, connect power, plug in the accessories and you are ready to go. The system comes preloaded with Windows XP Pro and our Digital Dash Software which enables you to start using the Car PC right out of the box.

The G-NET Car PC features a 5.5mm extruded aluminum chassis which encloses an industrial grade embedded motherboard with an integrated VIA 1.5ghz C7 CPU. The system is designed for ultra-low noise and power consumption. The fast processor, 1gb of RAM, 2.5" mobile 80gb hard drive and Windows XP Pro operating system make it an excellent choice for multimedia, entertainment, mobile office, navigation, infotainment, communication and connectivity applications.
The G-NET Car PC features an intelligent automotive 12V DC power supply with an integrated power on/shutdown controller that works with your vehicles ignition. The power supply also has a wide voltage input range (6V-24V) allowing it to work during vehicle engine cranks and over voltage situations.The G-NET Car PC is an ideal in-car computing platform and it includes plenty of expansion ports (serial, USB, fire wire, compact flash and PCMCIA) for the addition of third party hardware.
The G-NET Car PC is able to withstand temperatures up to 60 degrees Celsius (140F) making it perfect for installation in nearly any vehicular environment. Independent testing done using a controlled temperature chamber show the G-NET Car PC main board being able to handle temperatures from -40C to +65C, equivalent to many of the more expensive industrial grade platforms. The G-NET Car PC chassis is engineered in such a way to dissipate heat directly from the CPU and chipset to the heat-sinked aluminum enclosure. In addition, the mobile 2.5" hard drive is mounted on silicone rubber shock mounts, thus giving the system the ability to operate flawlessly even in harsher environments.
The G-NET Car PC is 100% Windows XP/2000/NT™ compatible and will even run other operating systems such as Windows CE and Linux. This open platform is an ideal starting point for any vehicle PC deployment project, any Windows™ compatible software or third party hardware peripherals can be used with the system. Software can be loaded onto the system via an external DVD/CD drive (optional), external USB drive (optional), or network connection.
G-NET has also developed a carputer software front-end that we call "Digital Dash" which comes pre-loaded on every G-NET Car PC. This menu system gives you quick and easy access to the most popular applications installed on the system. The software also features an integrated audio player, video player, DVD player, CD player, Sirius Satellite Radio tuner, OBD2 Vehicle Diagnostics, Google Maps GPS navigation and tracking, internet web browser, photo viewer, memo pad, calendar and more!
