Product Overview:

The GNET_RGB3_X video module is the easiest way to interface a video source such as a DVD Player, TV Tuner, Reverse Backup Video Camera, iPod Video, Video Game Console, PC with composite output or other video source directly to your Nissan - Infiniti OEM GPS Navigation LCD screen / LCD Display. The GNET_RGB3_X features dual composite video inputs, one of which can accomodate a rear camera input that can be activated automatically when shifting the vehicle into reverse (usually used with a back-up camera). The GNET_RGB3 unit also features AV outputs, which will allow for the connection of rear screen displays or an OEM audio input device such as an FM modulator or iPod audio adapter. An infra red remote control is included with the unit which will allow for easy access to the on screen digital menu system for making any brightness and color adjustments and video settings..

The GNET_RGB3_X is an externally wired plug and play RGB converter interface that is installed inline of the GPS navigation computer in your Nissan - Infiniti car and LCD screen; it works by interrupting the RGB video signal from your GPS navigation computer when you select the input toggle button on the IR remote or activate 12V on the reverse camera line. When this occurs the GPS navigation system video image will be replaced by the video input that is connected to the GNET_RGB3_X module. The remote will allow you to switch between the navigation image and the video sources..

The GNET_RGB3_X is a video only input interface module, which means an FM modulator, FM transmitter or CD changer audio input interface adapter needs to be used to connect the audio signal from your external AV source to your audio system if your vehicle does not have an auxiliary input already available. The GNET_RGB3_X is video-in-motion enabled, so the video image will stay on the screen even with the car in motion (however we do not recommend or endorse this).

Vehicle Specific Installation Information:

This kit includes the GNET_RGB3_X module and a plug and play wiring harness that features an OEM 24pin Nissan / Infiniti molex connector which plugs in behind the navigation LCD screen of your Nissan - Infiniti vehicle. You can view a photo of the wiring harness provided by clicking on the "View Module Wiring Harness" button below.

Simply plug the vehicles OEM wiring harness into one end of the wiring harness provided with the GNET_RGB3_X module, then plug the other end of the GNET_RGB3_X harness into the location where the vehicles wiring harness was. Then connect 12V power, ground and backup camera connector (if required). The installation is really that simple! Since the unit is plug and play and only requires extra wiring for 12V and ground, it will not void your vehicles factory warranty! The GNET_RGB3_X works only with NTSC composite output video devices, it will not work with european PAL devices.

The G-NET Rear View Camera is ideal for use with the G-NET NavVideo line of video interfaces. Simply install the camera, connect the video signal to the G-NET NavVideo module along with the vehicles reverse wire. When the vehicle is put into reverse, the video image on the module will automatically switch and show the camera video image.
