The all new Digital Dash 5.0 In Car PC front end software is designed to run on any Windows XP/2000 car computer system and is included with every G-NET Car PC & Industrial Vehicle Mounted Computer. Using a PC at home or in the office is an easy task, but imagine using the same Windows interface in the car while driving. Digital Dash increases safety, productivity and ease of use on any Windows based Car PC . Digital Dash combines a large array of powerful and integrated features that are sure to satisfy even the most savvy in-car pc user.

The Digital Dash Car PCMenu System gives users one click access to the most popular applications on the Car PC . Large easy to read buttons that link to the integrated Audio Player, Video Player, CD Player, DVD Player, Sirius Satellite Radio, Google Maps Navigation & Tracking, OBD2 Vehicle Diagnostics, Photo Viewer, Internet Browser, E-Mail Form, Calculator, Calendar, Memo Pad, File Browser, 3D Visualizations and configuration utility.

Digital Dash is completely user configurable, you can change the program links, add programs to the "My Programs" pop-up menu, you can even change the background wallpaper image. The buttons on the main menu are also customizable, you can choose which buttons are shown, and whether they link to an integrated feature of the software or an external third party software program (such as a GPS navigation or say a TV tuner application) on your vehicle computer. You can also create main menu buttons to link to your favorite web sites.

Digital Dash also features a unique top navigation bar that provides one touch access to going back to the main menu, from anywhere in the program. It also integrates a real-time system clock, 10 level based volume control bar, on-screen keyboard button, gamma/brightness control (for day and night driving), minimize button, close button and power button which can be configured to either shut the system down, put the system into sleep mode, or simply hibernate. Digital Dash loads with the Windows shell and offers one button access to the standard Windows user interface if required.

The Digital Dash Car PC Software front-end supports all display resolutions from 640x480 up to 1024x768 including wide screen resolutions, making it an ideal solution for both 7" wide screen touch screen LCD's and larger 8" or 10" LCD displays. Digital Dash can be used with a mouse, touch screen or even a handheld remote control. Main Menu		Digital Audio Player
	The Digital Dash Main Menu offers complete customization. You can change the background image, buttons and program links. The top of the Digital Dash interface features a clock as well as buttons for volume control, launching the on screen keyboard, changing the screen brightness, closing the program and shutting down the PC.		The integrated audio player will play MP3, WAV, WMA and OGG files. It has complete play list support and gives you the ability to easily add and remove songs and folders from the list. The audio player also supports auto resume of the last played song if the software is closed then re-started.
My Programs Launcher		Video Player
	The My Programs button in the main menu will display a customizable list of external programs which can easily be launching by touching the link on the screen.		The integrated video player will play AVI, MPG & DIVX files. It has complete play list support and gives you the ability to easily add and remove videos and folders from the list. Videos can be played in windowed or full screen mode. You can leave the video player, then come back and continue watching the last video at the position you left off.
CD Player		DVD Player
	The integrated CD player allows for playback of digital audio cd's using the systems optical drive. You can also select between random and sequential play. Large numeric buttons in the CD player make choosing track numbers with a small touch screen easy.		The Digital Dash DVD player is an integrated application that supports basic DVD video playback. Familiar DVD player controls are easily accessible along the bottom of the interface. You can play DVD's in windowed or full screen mode. Please note: in order to use the DVD player feature of Digital Dash you must have a DVD codec installed on your system.
Sirius Satellite Radio Tuner		OBD2 Vehicle Diagnostics - Sensor Reading
	The integrated Sirius Satellite radio tuner works with the GNET_SATRADIO kit to allow the connection of a Sirius Connect receiver to a vehicle computer. You can view channels by genre, or make a list of your favorite stations. Channel data is updated live from the satellite connection.		The OBD2 Vehicle Diagnostics module allows for near-real time readouts of over 40 MODE1 OBD2 PID's. Your engine RPM and vehicle speed are shown near the top of the interface, and you can scroll through the engine sensor readouts using the page forward and backward buttons. 	Never get lost again! The integrated Google Maps feature of Digital Dash works with any NMEA compliant GPS receiver and will plot your position on a map downloaded from the Google Maps server in near real time. Also has GPS tracking option! (requires GPS receiver and internet connection)		The Directions mode of the Google Maps feature of Digital Dash gives you precise turn by turn directions by submitting your exact coordinates to the Google Maps server. Photo Viewer		Web Browser
	The Digital Dash Photo Viewer is a powerful application that will auto thumbnail images on your drive, and index them by top level folders. You can also compile a list of favorite images that will automatically be shown every time the photo viewer is run. An automated slide show mode is also included.		The integrated web browser makes it easy to surf the net while using a small Car PC touch screen LCD. It has full support for book marking and URL history. You can easily launch the on-screen keyboard to enter a URL or form field data by pressing the keyboard button on the top of the menu.
E-Mail Form Mailer		Calculator
	This simple utility built into Digital Dash allows you to send short emails using the Digital Dash interface. (requires MS Outlook pre-installed and internet connection)		It's impossible to use the Windows based calculator on a small touch screen, so the Digital Dash calculator not only gives you large easy to read and touch buttons but also a complete set of scientific functions. Estimate totals, give quotes, calculate tax or investment earnings from the comfort and convenience of your car.
Calendar		Memo Pad
	The integrated Digital Dash Calendar is a useful utility for keeping track of important dates and appointments. You can select important dates and add or delete notes associated with that date much like a personal scheduler.		Ever need to quickly jot down a note, idea, phone number or reminder while you are in your vehicle? The integrated notes and memo taker in G-NET Digital Dash give you the quick a easy ability to enter, delete and search through single line notes.
Configuration Utility		GPS Tracking Utility Included
	The Digital Dash Configuration utility gives you complete control over all of the Digital Dash settings, add, change and remove main menu icons, setup hardware and change program settings all from the easy to use configuration utility.		When using the Google Maps GPS feature of Digital Dash along with a wireless internet connection you can also set up Digital Dash to submit your GPS information to a web server, so family and friends can track your position using Google Maps. The G-NET GPS Tracking utility is included in the Digital Dash program directory and can be freely distributed.
